Staged filtration and terminal air delivery for contamination-sensitive controlled environments.

Cleanroom performance is defined by the room's particle-count classification, which in turn drives the required filtration stage, airflow pattern, and air-change rate. Filtration is only one element of the overall design, alongside room pressurisation, material flow, and personnel gowning procedure.
A staged approach is typical: pre-filtration protects downstream equipment and extends the life of finer stages, intermediate fine filtration reduces particulate load ahead of the final stage, and HEPA or ULPA terminal filtration — installed at the ceiling diffuser, in a fan-filter unit, or in the air handler — delivers the particle-control performance the room classification requires.
Selection should reference the target ISO 14644 classification, required airflow and recovery time, filter face velocity, leak-test method, and the facility's requalification schedule. EEC can review filter construction, media, frame, and gasket sealing against a stated cleanroom requirement; this is not a statement that a specific EEC filter is certified to a named classification without the facility's own testing.
