Power & Energy

Air-intake, hydraulic, lubrication, and dust-control filtration for power and energy assets.

Power plant equipment environment

Why filtration matters in power generation

Power plants — gas turbine, diesel generator, and general utility sites — depend on clean combustion air and clean hydraulic/lubrication fluid to protect rotating equipment from erosion, fouling, and unplanned downtime.

Typical filtration stages

Turbine and generator air intake systems typically stage weather protection, pre-filtration, and high-efficiency filtration matched to the site's ambient particulate and moisture conditions — coastal, desert, and industrial sites each present different fouling risks. Lubrication and hydraulic systems for turbines, generators, and auxiliary equipment use cartridge filtration sized to the OEM's cleanliness target. Control rooms and switchgear buildings typically use standard HVAC pre-filter and fine-filter stages.

Selection considerations

Selection should reference the turbine or generator manufacturer's intake and lubrication cleanliness specifications, site ambient conditions, and the plant's planned maintenance windows. EEC can review filter construction and media against a stated OEM requirement; this page does not state that a given configuration is approved by a specific turbine manufacturer without that manufacturer's own confirmation.
